Can I Go From Brunette Hair to Blonde Hair?

Today we are going to tell you about going blonde from brunette. We have seen guests go blonde from box dye black, red, purple, pink...let's just say, it is possible.

When you start your lightening journey, know it will take take. Find a stylist you trust, stay consistent and practice deep conditioning. 

​Some people think it takes one, maybe even two or three visits to become blonde, but usually, it takes a while. If your hair is colored, you’ll need to break through it in order to achieve blonde while protecting the integrity of your hair.

You can expect to visit the salon every 4-5 weeks. You will alternate between lightening reservations and treatment reservations. Know you just have to trust the process.

Being a blonde is achievable when you have dark hair, you just have to trust the process.

It started with having to break through a lot of color. I had jet black box dye hair. After the first blonding session, the hair turned orange + yellow (gasp). But, that's what toners are used for. Because of great toners, we were able to be okay with the in-between color. We knew at the end, the hair would be a perfect blonde + healthy.

We can still remember the day the chair was turned around + the guest was able to see themselves in the mirror and see the blonde I've always wanted with tears running down my face. 

If you try and achieve your blonde goals too quick, this can result in hair loss or breakage. It is always important to trust your stylist + the process. They know what they're doing + want to help you achieve your goal. It is so important to keep up with your appointments + conditioning and you will achieve your blonde goals in no time.
